Are you stuck in a serious relationship with obesity?
Weighing daily and getting an inflated number can demoralize you and can affect the daily diet and the regular food habit, it can also increase the stress level and many other related things.
Here are certain things which you should accept
As a practicing dietician and Nutritionist, I believe that well-being and healthy habits are more important than any number on the scale.
- Accept your size – Appreciate and love the body you have. Self-acceptance enables you to move on and make positive changes within yourself.
- Trust yourself – Trust yourself and listen to your inner self and signals of hunger, fullness, and appetite. We all have internal systems designed to keep us healthy — and at a healthy weight.
- Adopt healthy lifestyle habits – Adapt to a healthy lifestyle and food habits. Fulfilling your social, emotional, and spiritual needs restores food to its rightful place as a source of nourishment and pleasure.
- Find joy in moving your body and engage in daily exercise for keeping yourself healthy and fit.
- Eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full, and seek out pleasurable and satisfying foods.
- Tailor your taste buds so that you can enjoy nutritional food which can be the perfect alternative for some unhealthy and not so recommended food.
- Embrace size diversity. Humans come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Open to the beauty found across the spectrum and support others in recognizing their unique attractiveness.
Everybody is different
It is important to remember that everybody is different. We have different genetic and cultural traits. Even if we all have a similar food habit and do an equal amount of exercise we all won’t look similar at the end of the year. This is because each person’s genetic inheritance influences their bone structure, body size, shape, and weight differently.
So how you can define your ideal body weight?
It is a state where you will feel strong and energetic and lets you lead a healthy, normal life. Your body can feel similar for a range of weights. Focusing on healthy and nutrition-rich food is the most important thing with the right amount of exercise is what is important.
Most of all avoid comparing your body with your friends or TV celebrities, as we are all naturally different, which means we all have special qualities.
